What is the Orange Cap in IPL?
In the Indian Premier League since the first session every batsmen who has the highest runs from any team is awarded a orange cap so that every one is aware about that player that he has scored the highest runs. But there is a catch the orange cap is not fixed it keeps on changing player-to-player.

Chris Gayle Orange Cap (2011, 2012)
Chris Gayle played his debut IPL match on 2009 as a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders team. He was in the KK team for 2 years (2009-2010) and from 2011 he became a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Since then to date h has been playing or RCB. He won two orange caps (Chris Gayle Orange cap) playing for the RCB team in 2011 and 2012.
David Warner Orange Cap (2015,2017,2019)
David Warner first played IPL in 2009 as a part of Delhi Capitals team. He was in DC team till 2014. In 2014 after the auction he was owned by the Sunrisers Hyderabad and to date he is been playing for the SRH team. Most Orange Cap in IPL is owned by David Warner (David Warner Orange Cap) in 2015, 2017 and 2019.
Sachin Tendulkar Orange Cap (2010)
Sachin Tendulkar played all the IPL matches of his carrier for Mumbai Indians. He has been part of Mumbai Indians since 2008. And the only time he was awarded Orange cap (Sachin Tendulkar Orange Cap) was in 2010

KL Rahul Orange Cap (2020)
KL Rahul’s IPL debut match was in 2013. He was part of Royal Challengers Bangalore. But he was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014. Again in 2016 he was bought back by RCB. And till 2017 he was in RCB. In 2018 he was bought by Punjab Kings and he won his first ever Orange Cap (KL Rahul Orange Cap) in 2020. In 2022 he bought u by Lucknow Super Giants and to date he is playing for the LSG.
