The first player to take an IPL hat-trick is Lakshmipathy Balaji. He was a right-arm medium-fast bowler in the Chennai Super Kings team in the first season

In the inaugural season, he took the hat-trick in a match against Kings XI Punjab. The dismissed players are Piyush Chawla, Irfan Pathan and VRV Singh. His bowling figures by the end of the match was 5/24.

It was a great achievement for him as he could the title of first bowler in IPL to take a hat-trick.

Amit Mishra is the second bowler in IPL history to take a hat-trick. He is a right-arm leg-spinner in the team. He made this record against Deccan Chargers in the inaugural season of the IPL.

The 3 batsmen who were dismissed were Ravi Teja, RP Singh and Pragyan Ojha. He was playing for the Delhi Daredevils team that year. And by the end of the match his bowling figure was 5/17.

3. Makhaya Ntini (CSK vs KKR, 2008)

The third player in the IPL inaugural season to take a hat trick is Makhaya Ntini. He is a South African right-arm fast bowler playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the first season of IPL.

He took a hat-trick in a 2008 match against the Kolkata Knight Riders. The batsmen he dismissed were DB Das, Sourav Ganguly, and David Hussey. And his bowling figures by the end of the match was 4/21.

In the second season of the IPL, Yuvraj Singh became the first bowler to take a hat-trick. He is a batter cum left-arm off-spinner who played for the Kings XI Punjab in the IPL 2009. He took wickets in a match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The batsman he dismissed were Robin Uthappa, Jacques Kallis and Mark Bouncher. And his bowling figures by the end of the match were 3/22.

5. Rohit Sharma (DEC vs MI, 2009)

Rohit Sharma became the second batsman in the season to get a hat-trick. He was playing for the Deccan Chargers team that season. And the match was against Mumbai Indians, who got this achievement.

The batsmen he dismissed were JP Duminy, Harbhajan Singh and Abhishek Nayar And his bowling figures by the end of the season was 4/6.

6. Yuvraj Singh (KXIP vs DEC, 2009)

Yuvi got his second Hat-trick in the IPL in the second season, in a match against Deccan Chargers in 2009.

The batters he dismissed were Andrew Symonds, Venugopal Rao and Herschelle Gibbs. The bowling figure after the match was 3/13.

Only a single player could take a hat-trick in the third season of IPL, and that was Praveen Kumar. He took wickets in a match against Rajasthan Royals in 2010, playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The batsmen he dismissed were Damien Martyn, Paras Dogra and Sumit Narwal. And his bowling figures were 3/18.

8. Amit Mishra (KXIP vs DEC, 2011)

Amit became the first and the only player to get a hat trick in IPL 2011. This was his third IPL hat-trick. The match was against Deccan Chargers when he took the wickets, playing for Kings XI Punjab.

The batsman he dismissed were Mandeep Singhm Ryan Harris and Ryan McLaren. His bowling figures by the end of the match was 4/9.

Ajit Chandila is 9th on the list. He was playing for the Rajasthan Royal when he achieved this achievement in a match with Pune Warriors India in 2012.

The batters he dismissed were Sourav Ganguly, Robin Uthappa and Jesse Ryder. The bowling figure of the player by the end of the match was 4/13.

10. Sunil Narine (KKRvs KXIP, 2013)

The all-rounder spinner of West Indies, Sunil Narine, got his first IPL hat-trick in 2013, playing against a match with Kings XI Punjab. That season, he was playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders.

He took wickets of David Hussey, Gurkeerat Singh and Azhar Mahmood. And his bowling figure was 3/33.
