Sanju Samson is among the list of youngest players who were selected in Ranji Trophy. His age was just 15 when his name was listed in the Kerala cricket team for Ranji Trophy. But he made his debut on Ranji Trophy in the 2011-12 season when his age was 17 and his first match was against Vidarbha.
In the first match itself of the 2013-14 Ranji Trophy Sanju scored 211 runs against Assam and it was also his first double-century in Ranji Trophy. And in the entire season his total runs were 530 with an average of 58.88. His second double-century in Ranji Trophy was in the 2014-15 season
He is currently the captain of Kerala Ranji Team in the 89th edition of Ranji Trophy in 2024.

Sanju Samson in IPL
Sanju Samson played his debut IPL match in 2013 for Rajasthan Royals. Before that in 2012 he was bought up by Kolkata Knight Riders but unfortunately he could play and was released. His first match in IPL against Kings XI Punjab on 14 April 2013. In the second match he scored 56 runs, becoming the youngest player to score half-century in IPL.
In 2016 he was signed by Delhi Capitals, as Rajasthan Royals was banned from IPL due to some un avoidable circumstances for 2 years. He scored his first IPL century in 2017 against Rising Pune Supergaints.
In 2018 he was again taken back to Rajasthan Royals and during that season itself he scored his 2nd IPL century against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He became the captain of Rajasthan Royals in 2021 and also scored a century in the first match itself.
In 2024 also he will be playing for Rajasthan Royals in 2024 IPL
